Prepregs and auxiliary materials used in insulation systems

Scope of application of construction and auxiliary materials is quite extended. Besides their application upon manufacture and repair of electrical machines, mechanisms and equipment of different purposes, materials of this group can be also applied for the manufacture of various parts and winding items, as well as for solution of various technological tasks in the most diverse areas.

Glass cloth impregnated with silicone resin:

This material is quite sticky and used as prepreg for different kinds of application and as repairing tape in different applications.

Prepregs:

Prepregs are various materials impregnated with epoxy resin in B-stage. This kind of materials is shaped by the consumer and cured under pressure and heat.

Flexible silicone content tape:

This material consists of glass cloth which is impregnated with silicone resin . The material is very flexible for phase insulation and end winding bracing of motors and generators which operate at temperatures from -60 up to +260 °С.

Porous plastics:

BSMB porous plastic is applied in the VPI systems as gaskets and space-filling material in different parts of electric winding and fixation of magnetic system coils on the rods. For application of BSMB porous plastic in combination with the impregnation compounds based on epoxy-anhydride systems, accelerator based on organic zinc salt can be added upon its manufacture. Thermal class of porous plastics is determined by the applied impregnation resin.

Materials with asbestos:

Intended for inter-turn insulation of coils of the drive motors magnetic system, electric insulation of wires, cables, elements off electric machines and mechanisms.

Protective and banding tapes:

Protective tapes LES-F-Т, LES-F-Т(l) and BSB are intended for creation of a protective layer of frame insulation of windings of the electric machines and mechanisms. Tapes LSBE-155-М and LSBE-180-М are banding tapes to make commutator bandage. Tapes LSBE-155-М and LSBE-180-М are banding tapes for DC-motors bandaging and transformers construction.
